Space & Brand undertook the transformation from the original “Wen Cheng ①” store on Schönhauserallee 65, Berlin, to the ambitious goal of establishing it as a dynamic and scalable international chain. We started our journey with their largest Berlin store, at Schönhauserallee 10 “Wen Cheng ②“, and then “Wen Cheng ③“ Simon-Dach-Straße 22.

Continuing the work of plus-minus studio, who had crafted an iconic logo mark and a bold colour palette for us to expand from. Leveraging these elements, we developed a physical space that matched the vibrancy deserving of this increasingly popular restaurant.

We now are their exclusive creative team, curating their interior design and visual identity throughout their business.

Our focus was to extend beyond aesthetics, as we worked on integrating a full circle branded business into the fabric of the Wen Cheng team. We can’t stress enough how the key to our success was the client's trust in our expertise, allowing us to draw from our background in stage design to infuse the space with the pulsating spirit of Berlin urban culture. Simultaneously, we ensured a nod to tradition and a celebration of the craftsmanship behind Chinese hand-pulled noodles.

Today we still are proud partners of Wen Cheng, and look forward to opening new stores together soon!
